*weeps OMG* This is gorgeous and so, so well done. I didn't read the prompt, so I was all happy with the Sherlock-following-John bits. I love the bit about Sherlock creeping out John's friends with harpoons, etc. So I'd be all broken up about the ending, because unexpected deathfic that makes you BELIEVE that it could happen that way is just devastating, but Death being there and the bees and the random Who reference have transmuted the angst into something more like a wibble, which I can live with. So thanks for that. :)

I love John's instructions about last words. And then his actual last words - "I love you," he says clearly, looking up at that face. "I've always been yours. It'll be all right." - made me flail.
